Samos is the island of philosopher and mathematician Pythaogoras, astronomer and mathematician Aristarchus of Samos, the tunnel of engineer Efpalinos (6th Century BC) and an island of history, natural beauty, culture, spectacular coastline and sea and abundance of vines, olives and other agricultural activities.
Samos is accessible by Ferry from Athens and Thessaloniki; from the Dodekanise islands of Rhodes, Kos and Patmos and by domestic flights from Aegean Airlines.
